Citibank is an American based international bank that was first founded in 1812 as the City Bank of New York before becoming the National City Bank of New York in 1865.

Citibank became the First National City Bank of New York in 1955 after its merger with the First National Bank. The bank then changed its name to First National City Bank in 1962 before becoming Citibank in 1976.

Citibank offers several credit card products including both Visa Card and MasterCard options to customers.

The different credit cards offer different reward programs. The BP MasterCard allows you to receive a 5% discount on petrol and in store purchases you make at a BP Service Station. It also charges you a reduced interest rate for 6 months for all balances transferred to Citibank.

The Citibank Cash Back credit card Visa card gives you up to 4% Cash Back. It charges you a low rate of 5.9%p.a for the length of any balance transfers and it has a $20,000 limit.
