South West Credit Cards
South West Credit Union was established in 1963 in order to meet the financial needs of the community. The credit union has grown over time and now offers a range of banking products and services that would be found at any of its larger, national competitors. Located in the centre of Warrnambool, South West Credit Union has maintained its key focus on members and their needs despite having changed dramatically over time. With over 13,000 clients, South West Credit Union's dedication to members is their most important reason for opening their doors every day.
The credit union's Board of Directors is made up of committed community members, selected for their skill in finance, law, human resources, administration and community representation. Benefits of being a member include becoming a part owner of South West Credit Union and knowing they are on equal standing with every other member. For this reason, this bank is not under pressure from external shareholders to increase profits and can therefore afford to offer members competitive rates.
South West Credit Union has a variety of 4 credit cards that enable members access to their funds at all times. The South West rediCard allows cardholders 24/7 access to their savings account through any ATM in Australia and purchases through any EFTPOS terminal in Australia. The Visa Debit Card allows access to funds from nearly 1 million ATMs in more the 150 countries. Cardholders can make purchases via the internet, phone or mail order. South West's MyCard Mastercard is available as a Low Rate Mastercard or a Rewards Mastercard. Both have a low annual fee, offer an interest-free period and come with a PayLite option, which allows cardholders to spread large payments over time at a discounted interest rate. The difference is that the Low Rate card is a better option for those whose balance is not cleared monthly and the Rewards card offers a rewards system for every dollar spent on the card.
As South West Credit Union is part of the rediATM network, cardholders will be able to withdraw cash from debit cards and check their balance without paying a fee.
