Banks offer Credit Card Xmas gifts
15 November 2007
With Christmas just around the corner, banks are offering customers the perfect credit card gift idea for those who are a little short this Christmas when it comes time to buy gifts for your family and friends.
Some of these cards offer 0% interest rates on balance transfer accounts so if you have been thinking about taking advantage of this credit card feature, this may be an opportune time to do so.
Why pay interest on your credit card when there is no need too? Be sure to read the terms and conditions associated with the balance transfer credit card products that you choose, and understand them before you agree to transferring your account.
ANZ
The ANZ is offering a range of Visa credit cards at 0% p.a interest on purchases for the first 6 months. This offer is for a limited time in the lead up to Christmas and gives consumers the opportunity to buy now and pay later without having to add on a large amount of fees by the way of interest charges.
Bankwest
Bankwest are promoting their BankWest Lite Mastercard as Australia's lowest ongoing rate MasterCard. This credit card offers users a 9.89%p.a. credit charge for credit purchases made. However, as a promotion in the lead up to Christmas, Bankwest is offering new credit card accounts at 6.99% (excludes cash advances), on purchases made for the first 12 months.
