Vouchers to beat Credit Card fraud

16 November 2007

One of the great drawbacks for many people about using their credit online is the security aspect. It seems the bad guys are always working out new ways to defraud the system and everyday Joe's are the ones who are inconvenienced.

The financial institutions have come to the party with the majority of cases resulting in the consumer being fully reimbursed any fraudulent purchases made on their accounts, however it is still an time consuming inconvenience to sort these issues out.

One new way that consumers can help in the battle against fraud, or even those who want to use a credit card but are reluctant to is by purchasing a voucher.

VCard credit is purchased directly from retailers in the same way that many people buy those prepaid mobile phone cards.

VCards offer users a maximum of $1000 per card and do incur a one time fee of $5-50 per voucher.

A great idea for your kids if they are spending money buying online items such as itunes.

This product may help out those who want to use the internet to buy an item but it does have drawbacks, mainly that you need to get yourself another VCard voucher if you want to make a second purchase.

There's no need to be nervous about using a credit card online. Credit cards do come with minimal limits so that security aspect can still be maintained with a regular credit card by simple care of your card and your pin number.

Worrying about how much money you can lose if your card falls into the wrong hands is not really going to happen with banks and financial institutions very good in reimbursing your account any fraudulent transactions.

However, you will lose time having to sort it out and suffer an inconvenience in having your card stopped and possibly reissued.
