New credit card fraud email

A new credit card fraud email has surfaced in Tasmania with business targeted by fraudsters.

The latest scam has items being bought and asked to be shipped overseas, in many cases it's to an orphanage in Ghana with a false name and false credit card details being used.

If you have a business, make sure that you always verify the identity of credit card holders.

Avoid credit card scams. never use a link in an email to visit your bank web site and never give your personal information or credit card details to "the bank" in an email. Your bank will not seek your personal information via an email.

Compare your credit card with other credit cards on the market.
