Kiwi goes shopping with a free credit card
15 January 2008
Police in New Zealand are searching for an Auckland man after the Westpac bank sent a customers credit card to the wrong address.
This resulted in the "new owner" of a Westpac Visa card going shopping to purchase a PlayStation Portable and a couple pizzas.
He also spent a night in a motor inn with his girlfriend. The man also took the opportunity to top up his mobile phone with a $100 credit.
The Westpac bank has said it will cover all costs incurred by their customer after they had the credit card delivered to the wrong address.
