Save on petrol with a BP-Citibank MasterCard

10 March 2008

Rising fuel prices mean it's important to find savings anywhere you can. With petrol prices in Brisbane reaching as high as $1.40 at some outlets, why not change to a credit card that could save you as much as 7c per litre when you fill up at BP?

The BP-Citibank MasterCard offers you up to a 5% discount on fuel, as well as any other purchase, at participating BP outlets. The discount of 5% applies to the first $300 you spend in each statement period, and even after this expenditure, you still save 1% on purchases.

Savings don't just stop with fuel and groceries at BP, though. The BP-Citibank MasterCard also gives a 1% cash back on everything else you purchase anywhere. At the start of each statement period, the 1% cash back is credited to your account, and applies to up to $60,000 of expenditure within a twelve month period. There's little doubt you could save an immense amount of money by switching to the BP-Citibank MasterCard.

The card also offers 2.9% p.a. balance transfers for the first twelve months you have the card on balances transferred with this offer. Costing $79 in annual fees, with 55 interest free days and a purchase rate of 19.49% p.a. the BP-Citibank MasterCard is well suited to reducing your essential bills to a much more manageable level.
