Airline rewards credit cards for frequent travellers

Friday April 4, 2008

If you find you fly on a regular basis, then the odds are you enjoy the benefits of an airline rewards credit card. This doesn't mean you necessarily have the best credit card for your travel needs, however. Domestic flyers and international travellers have very different needs, and not all airline rewards credit cards cater to both sorts of customer.

Many platinum and gold credit cards feature free overseas travel insurance, usually for a period of about three months in every twelve. This can be an incredible saving for frequent travellers, as insurance is a sensible necessity for anyone leaving their home country. The unfamiliarity of a new environment greatly increases the risk of many activities, so it can be comforting and convenient to know you are covered thanks to your premium credit card.

Most rewards program cards allow you to convert your rewards points into frequent flyer points, and some even offer a free domestic flight per year. These features are obviously useful for the constant traveller, providing you with great savings on your flights.

Please visit our airline rewards credit card page for more information on this great premium credit card feature.
