Commonwealth Bank is offering its Awards credit cards customers the option of getting a new Commonwealth Bank Awards American Express Card (CBA AMEX Card) that will work in conjunction as their current credit card. The bank boasts that it customers will now have all the benefits of a new AMEX card, with only one set of accounts fees and charges.

For customers who opt to receive a CBA AMEX Card they will also only receive one annual fee, one credit limit, one balance statement and one set of related fees including interest rates as the new AMEX card will be linked to their existing credit cards awards account.

CBA AMEX credit cards are now giving existing Commonwealth Bank customers the opportunity to experience the AMEX rewards system. Customers are now able to earn 1.5 Awards points for every dollar spent on a CBA AMEX card and 1 point for every dollar spent on a MasterCard credit card.

This latest offer means that CBA Awards credit cards customers can now accumulate their rewards points even faster simply the free-to-apply CBA AMEX credit card. These points are able to be used for anything ranging from entertainment, shopping, travel and special merchandise with the option even use these points to repay the credit cards balance.

Customers can take advantage of this opportunity at no extra cost to themselves, while also gaining access to such privileges, including American Express Selects and globaleshop, a US online shopping operation that does not accept other Australian credit cards.

All current existing CBA Award, Platinum and Gold card members can easily apply for this product simply by requesting an American Express card through a one page submit form which is then linked to their existing account, meaning that they receive all the benefits of the AMEX card but with only one set of fees.

Importantly, this is a free service and option for existing cardholders of the Commonwealth Award, Platinum and Gold credit cards with Commonwealth Bank encouraging its customers to take advantage of this offer.
